BIMI readiness in under an hour
Validate logos, policies, and DNS records before you request a Verified Mark Certificate. A single pass through this list keeps brand indicators healthy.
SVG & brand preparation
- Square logo, `viewBox` size 32–64px, no transparency, and background color locked.
- Include organization name in metadata and ensure brand usage aligns with trademark assets.
- Export the final BIMI-compliant SVG and store in version control.
Domain policy requirements
- DMARC policy at p=quarantine or p=reject with alignment.
- SPF and DKIM passing for 95% of legitimate mail, validated by SendCheck drift metrics.
- TLS enforced for primary MTAs (STARTTLS or equivalent).
DNS configuration
- Publish the BIMI record: `default._bimi.example.com TXT v=BIMI1; l=https://cdn.example.com/logo.svg; a=https://cdn.example.com/vmc.pem`.
- Host the SVG on an HTTPS endpoint with CORS enabled.
- After VMC approval, update the `a=` parameter to point to the certificate.
Verification & rollout
- Submit the logo for Verified Mark Certificate (Entrust or DigiCert).
- Test inbox rendering across Gmail, Yahoo, and Apple Mail.
- Monitor SendCheck for BIMI readiness score and drift alerts.
